Dating

Stacy was driving home from her work, it was nearing 11:00PM. Half the town were already in front of TV or dozing off on their beds. Although city seems pretty busy, going home from downtown at such a late hour was not an advisable thing, more so because of the recent attacks on women during after hours. Stacy is quite adamant in her work, and does not like to keep her clients waiting.
Stacy is CPA and specialized in personal and corporate taxes. Most of her clients are either from S or C firms or physicians and emergency care providers, and also 1099s or 1040s.
The time she gets for her personal timing is more and more being consumed at her work, due to the disorganized way it is maintained.
She was talking to one of her peers at the IMA  conference in Dallas and she was saying her work was similar to hers, but now it is better organized and better managed. She has contacted Jiji and took her advise on keeping everything accountable, as well as everyone accountable.
As she reached home, she saw that baby sitter also was dozing off on the couch, and the kids were tucked in their beds and fast asleep.  She thanked Elisa for taking care of the kids in her absence and asked her to take the remainder of the Pizza to home as she paid her wages. For the two kids, Elisa charges ten dollars an hour, which is very less expensive as she would have to pay at least 12 bucks if it were a day care across the street or near her work $20.00 per hour. For a ten hour baby sitting session it is only hundred bucks everyday, times five days a week times at least four times per month.huge sum of the money, but she cannot organize her work efficiently to reduce hours.

On days when there are lot of clients, she has to keep working and ask the baby sitter to stay until she returns home.
Her children are seven and eleven  years old, and she is graduated from UoH with Magna Cum Laude four years back. It was two years since she was licensed to practice independently, as CPA. She has a small office of four employees including an admin to help her keep her clients appointments, and input data, produce financial statements for the clients companies and do payroll and taxes.
Although she offers all this as well as financial advising to invest in market, and forex, her employees are more of stagnant type.
As soon as they have signed in, if she is not looking, they are busy chatting, sending personal e-mails, playing solitaire or watching soap shows.
Ever since the mini iPads took over the world, even employees know how to skip security and access multimedia or personal affairs in their work hours. Although she has knowledge of these activities, she cannot hold them responsible, since they are not doing it openly. Either they are in the break time or away in the rest rooms, when they access the media. Since each one has their own smart phones or 4G iPads, or other devices no one can spy on their internet activity, unlike the earlier times, where every information had to go through the company's WiFi.
She was thinking, she should also consult Jiji and see if she can help her.
She decided to contact Jiji over the weekend as she wants to implement her new system, starting Monday.
Next morning when she wanted to visit Jiji, she had to take a special appointment from Jiji, because Jiji has gone off on outing. By the time they returned home it was past 7:00 PM. Jiji scheduled a preliminary appointment for consulting, which she offers for free, and an appointment to visit her on Monday morning at 8:00 AM at her offices.
On the first day Jiji took notes on all her problems, and said, she has to visit her offices, and allocate job description to each of the employees and delegate. She also said she would look at her filing system and data management, and told her not to let the employees know about it, until she arrived there.
When Jiji visited the offices, John, Stacy's assistant was talking over phone, making an international call.
She saw that Admin was not in her seat, and her other two employees were on coffee break.
Jiji, called in a meeting and at the conference room, Jiji was looking at each one and said," We need to change our style of work, since it is not bringing a lot of billable hours."
Jiji continued, to give instructions, "First and foremost, there shall be an employee handbook.
Everyone of you will have to follow compliances.
Each one will be given compliances awareness questionnaire, and each of you will have to maintain a logbook of all activities.
What are the assignments on hand?
What are the activities you are doing each hour, to the minute. With regard to these assignments?
Record every time you need to call a client, and their number, and minutes spent in contacting.
Give a report of the hours billed and activities on Friday evening. They will be getting paid every other Friday 0 hrs for the last 80 hours, prior to that week. "

Stacy told them, that every 40 hours of work earns them 4 hours of paid time, they can leave 4 hours early the next Friday, if they come in time and leave in time.
Overtime is not allowed anymore.
General administration, data entry, business statements, HR, all have been allocated to different persons and each one is responsible for their activities, and meeting deadlines.

The meeting continued until two hours and there was a training session provided, until noon. Thirty minutes of lunch hour was allocated at different times, for every two employees, one from each work room.
This way they are assured at least one employee will be available for answering or meeting clients, when they visit.
Earlier, clients would always find themselves in the lobby, or waiting area, for some staff member to arrive and see them.

A month later, it was seven in the evening, Stacy was on a date, instead of struggling at work and sulking on the way home. She did have the baby sitter take care of the kids, but she was not too far off. Her date was her husband, both of them watching the movies that evening, and spending time together, after a very long time..
